Juras Maateh was a Trion engineer and friend of Vislor Turlough.

Juras was born into one of the Imperial Clans during the Old Regime and lived in Valerange in Norring on Trion. She studied with Vislor Turlough, whom she befriended, but later chose to go to an institute to study physical engineering whilst Turlough went elsewhere to study astrophysics. Despite living thousands of kilometres apart, they were able to frequently visit one another using the Vacuum Transport system and remained friends.
Whilst Juras was a supporter of the Clans and was committed to what would become known as the Old Regime, she did not speak out against Rehctaht and her government following the revolution as Turlough did, being more careful with what she said, and was chosen by Rehctaht as a possible ally and potential science advisor.
