Axton was a Time Lord soldier present at the Fall of Gallifrey.

Biography

As the Daleks invaded his home planet of Gallifrey in the final days of the Last Great Time War, Axton was instructed by the Doctor, who was waging war upon the Daleks somewhere in the the Citadel, to present Leela of the Sevateem, commander of the Gallifreyan forces, (WC: The Final Battle [+]Loading...["The Final Battle (webcast)"]) and former companion of the Doctor, (TV: The Face of Evil [+]Loading...["The Face of Evil (TV story)"] etc.) with a Wayfinder, letting her escape (WC: The Final Battle [+]Loading...["The Final Battle (webcast)"]) from the Doctor's relocation of Gallifrey to a pocket universe. (TV: The Day of the Doctor [+]Loading...["The Day of the Doctor (TV story)"])

He was shot and killed by a Dalek, but not before handing Leela the Wayfinder, allowing her to escape and be reunited with the Fourth Doctor. (WC: The Final Battle [+]Loading...["The Final Battle (webcast)"])
