Miriam Scarrity helped to run her husband Albert's carnival freak show in 19th century England. She was also a petty criminal and thief.
Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
Miriam was married to Albert Scarrity and had three children: Jenny, Dorothy and Barty Scarrity. Jenny in particular disapproved of Miriam's petty crimes. Eventually, Jenny ran away from the carnival and soon afterwards Miriam's five-year-old son, Barty, also disappeared. After Barty returned, she visited Jenny to learn more about her since she had left. She couldn't believe that Jenny was married to to Vastra. (AUDIO: Family Matters)
