The Sunlight Worlds was the collective name given to 400 planets established by the Daleks.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Doctor is embroiled in the Sunlight Worlds plot. (PROSE: The Dalek Generation)

The New Dalek Paradigm and the Dalek Time Controller established the Sunlight Worlds following a huge galactic recession. It was governed by the Dalek Foundation. Carthedia, while not one of the 400 worlds, acted as a government state. Rather than give a home to the humans affected by the recession, however, the worlds were actually intended to be transformed into copies of Skaro through the use of the Cradle of the Gods. The Eleventh Doctor managed to set the Cradle to self-destruct, after which the Daleks presumably abandoned the Sunlight Worlds and the Dalek Foundation altogether. It can also be presumed that from the impact of Jenibeth Blakely on the Cradle of the Gods that the worlds were reverted somewhat, much like the elderly Blakeley's reverting to children as they were 90 years prior. This is backed up by the hearing of Lilian Belle also from 90 years prior on the transmissions and the immense power of the Cradle combined with the description of the worlds allowing for such a thing. (PROSE: The Dalek Generation)

Legacy[[edit] | [edit source]]

Human historians following the Siege of Trenzalore acknowledged the Sunlight Worlds plot as the last in a string of defeats the Doctor inflicted on the New Paradigm which led to their organisational restructure into the Parliament of the Daleks preceding the Asylum Incident. (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe)

Other information[[edit] | [edit source]]

The planets were lit by artificial sunlight so it never rained, although there were no droughts either. How Nice Is Your Brain? was the highest-rated television show across the Sunlight Worlds. The Cradle of the Gods almost turned the worlds into jelly blobs as it fed off the childish mind of Jenibeth Blakely. The Doctor called this "the confectionery death of the Daleks". (PROSE: The Dalek Generation)
