The Sublime Porte was the third story in the audio anthology Rogue Encounters, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by James Goss and featured Derek Jacobi as the War Master and Murray Melvin as Bilis Manger.

Worldbuilding

  • The Master claims his people know Bilis as "the Regulator", who balances the universe without fear or favour.
  • The Master claims that the Osirans, Dæmons and Hunting Gods of Fenrir were powerful races which the regulator destroyed.
  • The Master asks Bilis if he will pick a side in the war, but he claims the conflict does not interest him.
  • The Sublime Porte is an orrery of the universe, existing outside space and time, which the Soldagon discovered via flaws in their equations.
  • Bilis mentions the music of the spheres.
  • Bilis shows the Master Skaro via the Sublime Porte.
  • The Master contemplates using the Porte to raise a sea around the Capitol.
