The Murder of Oliver Akkron was the second story in the audio anthology The Eleven, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Nigel Fairs and featured Mark Bonnar as the Eleven and Lucy Gaskell as Miskavel.
Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Global President of Molaruss has been assassinated. The authorities believe they have the killer in custody - but which of his personalities did the deed? The truth will emerge in the recollections of a madman - but there is more than one side to every story...
Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]
On Molaruss, the Eight, in control of the Eleven, is invited to the Akkers' Mast to meet Oliver Akkron after writing a book. Over the course of their conversation, the Eight reveals that he knows that Akkron has murdered his way to power and staged an alien infestation using tiny parasitic worms to remove his opponents and ensure that he wins the upcoming election. Akkron prepares to kill the Eight but succumbs to the worm that Miska, disguised as a secretary, put into his drink.
The Eight is ready to become President of Molaruss and tells the authorities that he found Akkron dead, but he is accused of the murder and arrested. Dr Amiella Sheppon performs surgery on the Eleven to find out which of his incarnations committed the murder and learns that it was the Eight. Her assistant, Canning, reveals that she is a time-travelling Miska and kills the surgical team before transferring the Eleven and his different personalities from the clone they are in into his original body, planning to claim that it was a clone of the Eleven that killed Akkron and to cure the planet of the infestation.
