Charles "Chick" Peters was an Australian investigative journalist. He was living in the United States during the 1980s. His experiences with the Sixth Doctor, the Eridani and the Savant were the basis for his book, Blue Box.

While Chick had XY chromosomes, his body did not respond to male hormones. He had a body that was seen as female, but he did not have a womb.
