The Ellani were a humanoid species who inhabited Beadledom 3. They were golden-skinned with black hair and yellow eyes.

They used credits for money. Their technology included transmats, used only to transport freight, and a fleet of spaceships which resembled ice cream cones. Their society was heavily based on rules and regulations and paperwork. Under Ellani law, if a person travelled by transmat, it was believed the original was killed, leaving only a copy.
