Peter Purves was a Blue Peter presenter. He, Lesley Judd and John Noakes jointly presented an appeal for the return of two of "Doctor Who's Daleks", recently stolen from the BBC Television Centre, during which a live Dalek also addressed the viewers. When the Dalek began to get worked up, threatening the culprits with extermination if the Daleks were not returned quickly and unharmed, Purves and his co-presenters fretfully assured it that they had "nothing to do" with the theft. Purves was later in the Blue Peter studio with Lulu the elephant when a young boy walked through. (TV: Future Generations [+]Loading...["Future Generations (TV story)"])
