Keeping busy
The Doctor was known to have gotten up to many activities despite not appearing on screen very often. Such activities included using time travel to catch up on the complete Marvel Comics catalogue.
He also had adventures on Earth, such as cutting the ribbon at the grand opening of a new supermarket, and travelled to the darkest depths of the universe, which included a planet with no sun.
