Hamlet Macbeth was a Glaswegian psychologist who formed UNIT's short lived Paranormal Division in the late 1960s. He had red hair and a broken nose, and smoked tobacco cigarettes.

UNIT's Paranormal Division
When Macbeth joined UNIT he was made a Lieutenant and was in charge of the Paranormal Division investigating psychics and other such phenomena. In 1968 he removed the Doctor while he was possessed by Huitzilin from a house in London and secreted him away in an unlisted UNIT facility somewhere in England. When Ace removed the Doctor from the facility, before leaving she broke Macbeth's nose.
