In the 26th century, the (first) Earth Empire forms, out of an Earth-centreed alliance of planets. It will last until the late 30th century. Earth's single, planet-wide government is called Earthgov. (BFBS: Missing Adventures: Home)
Tensions exist between the Earth Empire and the Empire of the Draconians and even more so with the Daleks and the Korven. (DW: Frontier in Space, K9TV: The Korven)
Earth's Moon is being used as a penal colony. (BFBS: Missing Adventures: Home)
Thanks to genetic engineering, humans no longer have wisdom teeth. (BNA: Dry Pilgrimage)
Major Events
- Unknown (Early Century) - The Second Dalek War takes place. Numerous planets were destroyed in the conflict. The war was stopped when the Tenth Doctor and the crew of the Wayfarer destroyed the Dalek ship Exterminator along with its Dalek crew, and leaving its leader, Dalek X, for dead. (NSA: Prisoner of the Daleks)
- The Cyber-Wars occur in 2526.
- Unknown (mid-century) - By mid-century (probably well before), much of what was once the southern United States has sunk under the "Mississippi Sea"--probably a much-expanded Caribbean Sea. (BFBS: Home)
- Unknown (mid-century) - Space travel is relatively commonplace and affordable, though trips can be lengthy. It is common practice to sedate passengers for the longer trips. (BFBS: Biology Lesson on Mal Oreille)
- Unknown (mid-century) - The Sontarans and the Rutans take their war to Chelsea 426. The Doctor is able to stop the Rutans and the Sontarans leave before the colony collides with a Great White Spot. With help, the Doctor is also able to prevent this. (NSA: The Taking of Chelsea 426)
- Unknown (late century) - Space travel appears to be significantly faster by the end of the century; the approximately 27,000 light-year trip between Earth, near the edge of the galaxy, and Dellah, near its core, takes about eleven months. (BNA: Oh No It Isn't!)
Notable individuals
- Bernice Summerfield grew up in this century.
- Abslom Daak and the Star Tigers fought Daleks at this time.
- Ace lived here for three years when she decided to leave the Seventh Doctor and join Spacefleet.
- Laura Tobin lived in this century, as a human, before her transformation into the Eighth Doctor's companion Compassion.
- Space Major Jon Bowman lived in this century. He was in charge of a starship of a crew of bounty hunters during the Dalek war which he helped the Tenth Doctor to end. He and another member of his crew survived, the other three died.

- ↑ 22.09.72.2540 is given as the time the Earth cargo ship C982 jumped into hyperspace at the beginning of DW: Frontier in Space and the Doctor tells Jo Grant that they are in the 26th century. 2540 is explicitly cited as the year in the novelisation and NA: Shadowmind. DW: Planet of the Daleks follows some time close to this point.
- ↑ NA: [[Just War (novel)|]] indicates that 25th century dates given in previous books for Bernice Summerfield's life were actually part of one of the other calendar systems in use in the Mutter's Spiral of her time. In another system, she was born in 2422. (NA: Falls the Shadow)
- ↑ Benny was seven when her father disappeared.
- ↑ Benny was eight when her mother died. BFBS: Missing Adventures: The Evacuation of... establishes that the two events were six months apart.
- ↑ Benny's 22nd birthday occurs at the very end of the events of Genius Loci, the dig at which she was promised a Masters in exchange for her help.
