Lieutenant Skree of the Tenth Sontaran Battle Fleet was the operations officer on board General Staal's Sontaran Warship in 2009, during its attempt turn Earth into a Sontaran cloning planet.

He reported to General Staal that they had taken control of the UNIT jeep carrying the Tenth Doctor through its ATMOS device. After the device was terminated, Skree incorrectly concluded that the mission to kill the Doctor had been accomplished. When an atmospheric converter was activated in Chiswick, Skree questioned as to who would have the knowledge to do so, with Staal concluding that the Doctor had survived. Battle Status One was then announced, calling all soldiers to rejoice as they assumed their positions. (TV: The Sontaran Stratagem)

Skree was present when Staal was contacted by the Doctor and later followed the General's order to move the TARDIS out of the flagship's War Room, beyond the transmission field. He reported that their operative was in place whilst Skorr's Attack Squad prepared to take the ATMOS factory from UNIT. Once this was done, Skree relayed a report to Staal of victory with many glorious deaths from Skorr just as Luke Rattigan arrived. When Staal ordered Luke's execution, Skree was among those who raised his blaster before Luke escaped by a teleport. Skree later reported the sighting of a human female and that the teleport system had been deadlocked open, which he concluded was the Doctor's work.

He alerted Staal to the sight of the Sontarans' caesofine gas being burnt out of Earth's atmosphere. When Staal ordered the ship to attack Earth directly, Skree reported that all weapons were targeting the planet and counted down to when they opened fire. Just as he finished, however, he was killed, along with the other Sontarans on the flagship, when Luke returned and activated his atmospheric converter on board, destroying it. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

The role of Lieutenant Skree was uncredited but is distinguished by the scripts of The Sontaran Stratagem and The Poison Sky. His voice is audibly not that of Commander Skorr actor Dan Starkey, who also appears as another open-skinned Sontaran Commander shortly following Skorr's death in The Poison Sky.

Foreshadowing his appearance in Series 4, "Lt. Skree" was listed in Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia [+]Loading...["Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia (2007 reference book)"] as a potential future entry for a theoretical update of the book. His entry in the updated Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia [+]Loading...["Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia (2011 reference book)"] reveals that he was played by Jack Steed.
