The Science of Doctor Who (sometimes advertised as The Science of Doctor Who with Brian Cox) was a television documentary that aired on BBC Two on 14 November 2013.

It consisted of a lecture given by Professor Brian Cox, bookended by scenes of Cox with Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor in the TARDIS, in A Night with the Stars. Smith would later appear in character for a documentary in The Ultimate Guide.

Charles Dance appeared in the documentary.

For its home video release the documentary was retitled "A Night with the Stars: The Science of Doctor Who".

This documentary was included on the Doctor Who: 50th Anniversary Collector's Edition DVD & Blu-ray box set released on 8 September 2014.

In November 2023, The Science of Doctor Who was added to BBC iPlayer's Whoniverse catalog of Doctor Who content.
