Read by [[Michelle Ryan]], the story is released under the same format as the [[BBC Books]] [[BBC Tenth Doctor Adventures|Tenth Doctor Adventures]] book series and their associated audio book adaptations, but was released exclusively to audio. It is the fourth of its kind following ''[[Pest Control]]'', ''[[The Forever Trap]]'' and ''[[The Nemonite Invasion]]'' (several original audio stories of this nature have also been issued based upon ''[[Torchwood]]'' and ''[[The Sarah Jane Adventures]]''). It is the first to be read/performed by someone who is not a regular cast member, although Ryan did guest star in the special ''[[Planet of the Dead (TV story)|Planet of the Dead]]''.
