The Stasi were the East German secret police.
They captured the War Doctor and Lara Zannis in East Berlin in 1961. They were interrogated by Stasi officer Kruger, who helped the Doctor follow Zannis to West Berlin to stop her from creating the Shadow Vortex. (AUDIO: The Shadow Vortex)
