The Magician was a Time Lord, known to some as Magus and to others as Pagad.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Magician travelled in time extensively in his TARDIS, describing time and the universe as his estate, province and heritage. During his travels, he observed, listened, recorded and studied.

Sent by the Time Lords to monitor Vislor Turlough and Juras Maateh's progress in preventing the entropic decay of the universe, the Magician first met them on Regal before following them to Brendon Public School. There, he revealed himself and joined them in Turlough's Style 976 Interstellar Hawk as they went after the Gardsormr. He gave Turlough a vision of the Mobile Castle whilst on New Trion, leading to Turlough and Juras creating a second ARTEMIS drive which they used to escape.

They travelled in the castle back to Trion, but later returned to it in an attempt to prevent it from falling and wiping out Trion, but they failed to do so when Juras's conditioning was activated. The Magician, Turlough and Juras returned to Earth, which had also been destroyed, and encountered David Swallow and his group, as well as the Pharix. They learnt that Rehctaht was responsible and that she had transplanted her mind into Juras's.

The Magician saved Turlough from having Rehctaht transplanted into his mind instead when he travelled back to the Revolutionary Regime to save Juras. The Magician left Turlough at the bottom of Giants' Drop where he drove Rehctaht from his own mind. He returned to him with a Slot and took him to a world in which Turlough had died after falling into the Drop, letting him take his dead self's place. The Magician left to do "a spot of temporal manoeuvering" to get the Mobile Castle in exactly the right place at the right time. (PROSE: Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma)

Personality[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Magician was whimsical, eccentric and intelligent. He knew of the Doctor, but was contemptuous of him. (PROSE: Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma)

Appearance[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Magician had blue eyes and looked to be in his twenties, only slightly older than Turlough. He wore a white robe with a blue sash, red cloak and a hat shaped like a figure of eight. He also wore lilies and roses in his button holes. (PROSE: Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma)
