Don Houghton (2 February 1930-2 July 1991[1]) wrote the Doctor Who television stories Inferno and The Mind of Evil.

In addition to his work for Doctor Who, he also wrote several episodes of Sapphire & Steel.

His wife Pik-Sen Lim played Captain Chin Lee in The Mind of Evil, while their daughter Sara Houghton played Dr Samantha Madigan in The Sarah Jane Adventures television story The Curse of Clyde Langer.
