Multi-Master stories
Question: should this story have the category of "multi-Master stories"? Obviously the episode features 2 incarnations of the Master due to regeneration, but I wanted to clarify if the category only specifically refers to stories in which 2 incarnations physically interact, or whether this would fall under the category too? Should this be moved to The Keeper Of Traken, as per the title card? Tardis1963 09:30, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

In the 4th episode, the Doctor reverse engineers a master key using an encryption system that involves a prime number and a calculation that will take "thousands" of years. This seems to me to be a pretty clear reference to RSA encryption (which was first published 3 years before this story was aired) -- should this be added to the science references section? Also: does anyone know if this is the first fictional depiction of breaking an RSA key? 46.208.124.73talk to me 23:55, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

The Eyes Have Itedit source

"Kassia's red eyes are clearly painted on her eyelids." Is this a production error? They didn't accidently paint her eyelids then have them in shot by mistake. It's just how they did the effect.165.225.76.164talk to me 09:59, June 15, 2018 (UTC)

Not paralysededit source

"The Doctor is paralysed when the Master keys his TARDIS' systems to his biorhythms." He's not paralysed - if he moves he will be destroyed, so he has to stay still.165.225.76.55talk to me 13:44, September 4, 2018 (UTC)

Moving againedit source

"The Doctor, able to move once again, smashes through a glass panel to escape." The story summary doesn't explain why. It's because the Source going haywire has started to destroy the Master's new ship, disarming it.165.225.76.55talk to me 13:49, September 4, 2018 (UTC)

Soonedit source

"His first line in the role, spoken as "the Melkur" was: "Your failure is irrelevant. The law which protects the strangers will presently destroy them.""

His first word in the role is "soon", spoken as "the Melkur" in the first episode.165.225.76.55talk to me 13:47, September 4, 2018 (UTC)

The Master's TARDISesedit source

"The Master appears to have two TARDISes, the Melkur and his grandfather clock, which is inside the Melkur TARDIS."

It's more than "appears", he has definitely got two ships. When the Doctor appears on board, the Master says "welcome to my new ship". When the Source starts to destroy it, the Master makes a dash for his original TARDIS to escape.165.225.76.55talk to me 13:53, September 4, 2018 (UTC)

The Logopolis article here confirms that the Master has two TARDISes. "Christopher Bidmead's inspiration for the recursive loop scene came from the end of The Keeper of Traken, in which the Master escapes via a TARDIS within the Melkur, which was also a TARDIS.(DOC: A New Body at Last)."165.225.76.55talk to me 15:15, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
