You may be looking for the Greg Sutton of another universe.

In a parallel universe, Greg Sutton was an Australian drilling engineer who was imprisoned due to his libertarian political beliefs and was forced to work at his world's version of the Inferno Project.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Unlike his counterpart of the Third Doctor's universe, who dressed in a casual safari-style outfit, the alternate Sutton wore a smart suit and tie.

Sutton emigrated from his home country to seek work in Great Britain, however his negative attitude toward authoritarianism and state involvement in the economy led to his arrest and imprisonment at the Eastchester labour camp. It was made clear to him that if he could "cure [his] insolent streak" and conform to the Party's ideology he would be released and offered good employment opportunities on other projects. He dismissed this prospect as "becoming a well-behaved zombie" despite the implicit threat that once the Eastchester drilling operation was complete he would be "disposed of" with his death framed as an accident or a failed escape attempt.

Sutton helped the Third Doctor fight off the Primords which attacked the facility and convinced Dr. Petra Williams to help. He openly defied the Brigade Leader in doing so. Sutton helped the Doctor fix his TARDIS console and leave for his universe.

As his world ended, Sutton held Petra, with whom he had formed a relationship. (TV: Inferno)
