* This story establishes that the K9 featured in the final moments of ''[[Dimensions in Time (TV story)|Dimensions in Time]]'' was a model built by the Seventh Doctor rather than one pulled through time by the Rani. The suggestion is that the K9 seen in ''[[Search Out Space]]'' was also this variation.
