You may be looking for the Fifth Doctor companion.

Adric Seronus Traken was the second child of Nyssa and Lasarti and younger brother to Neeka.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Adric was named after Nyssa's former travelling companion. After his mother disappeared on Helheim in 3530, Adric endeavoured to continue her work and cure Richter's Syndrome, particularly after Neeka contracted the disease and was put in suspended animation.

By 3556, Adric was conducting research into the disease on Valderon where he was reunited with his mother and met the Fifth Doctor, Tegan Jovanka and Vislor Turlough. He initially believed that Nyssa was from experiencing her first adventures in the TARDIS before Turlough told him of her rejuvenation. He and his mother managed to create a cure together and planned to meet again one month after. (AUDIO: Prisoners of Fate)

Adric waited for Nyssa when the Doctor returned to him and told him that she was in E-Space with no hope of return, having chosen to remain to allow her friends to get back to N-Space. After the Doctor, Tegan and Turlough told him the full story, Adric told them to leave and brushed off the Doctor's attempts at apologising. (AUDIO: The Entropy Plague) He never saw his mother again. (AUDIO: Prisoners of Fate)
