Cardiff Earthquake, prefixed as PRESS STATEMENT: Cardiff Earthquake on the story's page, was the fourteenth short story and nineteenth release exclusively published on the U.N.I.T. website on 4 June 2005[nb 1] by the BBC webteam to coincide with the broadcast of Boom Town. Cardiff Earthquake was the eighth release in the UNIT Press Briefings series of in-universe press briefings.

Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

In the wake of the Cardiff Earthquake, on 8 October, UNIT reports in a press briefing that the clean-up operation has been successful. However, Margaret Blaine is among the many people missing and UNIT's Scientific Advisors have agreed that, due to the instability of the ground the plant was to be built on, the Blaidd Drwg Power Plant project should be abandoned.
