Alien Life (short story)
Alien Life, also called Alien Life Confirmed and prefixed as PRESS STATEMENT: Alien Life on the story's page, was the sixteenth short story and twentieth-first release exclusively published on the U.N.I.T. website in December 2005 by the BBC webteam to coincide with the broadcast of The Christmas Invasion. Alien Life was the ninth and final release in the UNIT Press Briefings series of in-universe press briefings.
Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]
In a press briefing released on 25 December, UNIT announces that alien life exists and it did not come in peace, which is already widely known. The briefing goes on to state that, on that day, mankind was placed in "real danger by forces beyond our current comprehension." However, the briefing states that humankind won and UNIT will be watching the skies, ready to offer friendship or to challenge Earth's next visitors.
