At 1:55AM on 2 May 2012, police officers were called out to Riverside Boulevard in Greenhaven, as Van Statten, now just a vagrant, had caused a disturbance. When the police tried to caution him, Van Statten was uncooperative and kept repeatedly saying "don't you know who I am?" A police bulletin, submitted by CSO Morris and approved by Sgt. J.
