Frank was the son of a former San Francisco police officer.
In early 2021, Frank commented on an Into The Unknown article about a mysterious police box sighting in 1955 Alabama, in response to the article's request for readers to report any sightings they might have had. Frank recounted his father's experience with seeing a police box at a crime scene on New Year's Eve 1999, which had not been there hours earlier and was later gone.
