Sweep was a sausage-loving dog who starred in The Sooty Show with Sooty, Soo, and Matthew Corbett, the former of which he often got into mischief with. Sweep squeaked to communicate, although Matthew found him to be annoying. (PROSE: It's Raining Gin [+]Loading...["It's Raining Gin (short story)"])

Later, for a special episode of the show, Matthew Corbett took Sweep, Sooty, and Soo to the seaside meeting Iris Wildthyme and Panda while waiting for the bus.
