Neve McIntosh (born 9 April 1972[1]) played the main female Silurians when they returned to Doctor Who in 2010. Since then she played the recurring character Madame Vastra during the runs of the Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors and reprised the role for Big Finish in 2018.
She is best known to fantasy fans for playing Lady Fuchsia in the 2000 miniseries Gormenghast. In the autumn of 2010, she co-starred in the BBC miniseries Single Father alongside David Tennant and Suranne Jones.
