Light the Flame was the first story in the audio anthology Forged in Fire, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Matt Fitton and introduced Jonathon Carley as the War Doctor and Veronica Roberts as Ohila and featured Chris Jarman as Cardinal Rasmus and Adèle Anderson as Commodore Tamasan.

This was the first release of the resumed The War Doctor series since John Hurt's death in January 2017.

Synopsis[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Sisterhood of Karn have a guest, recovering from his traumatic regeneration. To do what is asked of him, the Doctor has rejected his name and his code.

  • This story marks Big Finish's first post regeneration story, showing a Doctor in their first moments properly, as the first full adventure for the War Doctor was never shown.
