In the real world, Mr Bellamy was the face of a brand of novelty liquorice treats who was indeed featured in an advertisement on the back page of Doctor Who Weekly's premier issue. An identical advert was also printed on the back page in both DWM 2 and DWM 3. Mr Bellamy returned on the back page of DWM 6 in a distinct advert to his previous appearances.
