Alan Weir was a magistrate for Lochlan Village. He tried Ross Nicolson for theft even though Kyle Inskip tried to stop it. He then handed Ross over to the Daleks but this action also made the Daleks take him. He was reluctant to escape but when Moira Brody explained he would be killed for not stopping them he came with them. He was reluctant to get on the boat to the Orkneys. He thought that the Doctor was mad to keep Peri alive, since she was infected with a Varga plant. He was converted into a Roboman Elite, and was subsequently killed when the Daleks destroyed all of the Elite even though he expressed his loyalty. The Doctor speculated that Alan's basic interest in power made him more receptive to the brutal parts of the Dalek programming. (AUDIO: Masters of Earth)
