The <nowiki>{{fact}}</nowiki> present in the lead demands a source for what I assume is the co-existence of Silurians and Sea Devils. However, were I to put ''Warriors of the Deep'', this would immediately appear to be the source for all those alternative names, when it isn't. It's stated in ''The Lost Dimension'' that Vastra's subspecies is the "Scholar class" while the Pertwee era Silurians are the "Warrior class". I understand that "Early" is also a used term in the literature, but considering that the Silurians met by the Third and Fifth Doctors respectively are essentially Warrior class, and the Silurians we see during and after the Eleventh Doctor era are "Scholar class", should we rename the gallery tabs from Eary, Middle and Late, seeing as Early and Middle are the same subspecies. I get that we want to show all of their iterations, but it's best to be accurate. | |||
Furthermore, on a different note, the preview chapters in ''Frida Kohlo and the Skull Children'' have the Tenth Doctor stating that humans and Silurians will one day live together in harmony but that specific future date isn't set (i.e. it's in flux). Since that's already been printed, are we allowed to put it on the article, or do we have to wait for the novel in its entirety (since the Tenth Doctor may explain a bit further)? Silurian classes (and Tenth Doctor reference)[[edit source]]
It's stated in The Lost Dimension that Vastra's subspecies is the "Scholar class" while the Pertwee era Silurians are the "Warrior class".
Furthermore, on a different note, the preview chapters in Frida Kohlo and the Skull Children have the Tenth Doctor stating that humans and Silurians will one day live together in harmony but that specific future date isn't set (i.e. it's in flux). Since that's already been printed, are we allowed to put it on the article, or do we have to wait for the novel in its entirety (since the Tenth Doctor may explain a bit further)? Thefartydoctor ☎ 17:42, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- Best to just wait until the Tenth Doctor book is out. Will only be about a week.
- The issue of the Silurian classes is one of many contradictory sources. Some sources do differentiate the Classics Silurians, and they do have different designs, meaning that it's not inaccurate. We could have different names on the tabs; it's not elegant, but sometimes we just label them "A", "B", and "C" to not be biased. TheChampionOfTime ☎ 04:34, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
