Pitter-patter was the fifth short story and twelfth release exclusively published in the Doctor Who Annual 2006 in September 2005 by Panini UK and the BBC. The short story was written by Robert Shearman and illustrated by Daryl Joyce.

The day Andy became a spaceman was the day his Daddy lost his job selling television sets. But the day he chose to be a spaceman, he was already living amongst the stars. It was the day the Doctor came and saved them from the rain.
