Triceratops was a type of herbivorous dinosaur on prehistoric Earth. They own three horns; two large ones at the top of their heads and a small one near their nose. Triceratops had a frill made of solid bone above their heads.

Triceratops were among the dinosaurs transported to the 1970s by Whitaker as part of Operation Golden Age. The Third Doctor and the Brigadier found one in the London Underground.
