Instructions for {{Aotm}}
{{aotm}} is the driving engine behind the automatic replacement of the Article of the Minute section of the main page. It looks for a sub-template of this one labelled by a number between 1 and 100. It then transcludes the template associated with that number. Thus, a different "article of the minute" appears on the front page on each page load. This ensures that no two users of the site have the same experience, and a wider range of articles will be visited from the front page.

This template is fully locked, because it is merely the conduit through which the actual featured article text passes. To change the article of the minute, you must change one of the following sub templates.

If the number is red, then that page has not been created. The more pages that are created, the better the feature will work.

Format for new pages

The easiest, best way of creating new pages is simply to click on one of these red numbers. Then, pull down the "Standard preload" menu to "aotm" and fill in the resulting form. It's important that you do this, because the template you are creating interacts with another template in a fairly precise way.
