This time, the Master's plan is to channel the emotional escalation on New Year's Eve through the Eye of Harmony, thereby gaining the capacity to shape the universe to his will. The deceased that previously appeared in earlier drafts no longer did, and the story ended with both companions dying and being revived by the Eye, and the Master getting sucked into the death dimension. A month later, Jacobs submitted a new draft, this time with some drastic changes.[1]
