On 11 August, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1969
- The Monsters was given a new name — The Silurians — and an extra seventh episode.
- Assistant script editor Trevor Ray sent a revised version of episode one of The Carriers of Death to script editor Derrick Sherwin, who was displeased with David Whitaker's work. A meeting was held two days later to discuss the serial.

- 2009 - The Big Finish audio story Shadow of the Past was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2017 - Big Finish's audio anthology The Tenth Doctor Chronicles was recorded.
- 2020 - The Big Finish audio stories Plight of the Pimpernel, The Evolving Dead and A Tragical History were recorded.
