Joe Marquez was a police officer in Canada in the 21st century.
One day as he was leaving work, Joe's boss asked him to take on the case of a man who was "babbling" about an attack on the Pickering power station. Marquez talked to the man, whose name was Chris Cwej and who claimed to be moving back and forth between two timelines: one where his friend, the Seventh Doctor, prevented the station's destruction, and one where he failed, causing the nuclear power plant to explode, killing countless people.
Marquez was sceptical of Cwej's story until he received a report of two dead security guards at the station. He brought Cwej with him to the station, which was surrounded by police and military. After the terrorists were captured, Marquez shook Cwej's hand and headed for home at last. (PROSE: The Nuclear Option)
