West Berlin was the West German half of Berlin created by the separation of Germany following World War II. During the Cold War, a barrier known as the Berlin Wall separated West Berlin from East Berlin and East Germany as a whole. (AUDIO: Protect and Survive)

In 1965, Group Captain Ian Gilmore, Professor Rachel Jensen and Sir Toby Kinsella visited both West Berlin and East Berlin to investigate reports of UFO sightings and smuggled footage of an alien making contact with Soviet agents.
