Martian cruiser, also known as Martian battlecruiser, was a classification of spacecraft used by the Ice Warriors.
Characteristics
Circular, the Martian cruiser was roundly shaped more like a bowl than a saucer with a silvery-white metal hull which was lit from within by the palest of blue lights. Three nacelles protruded from the vessel at precisely 120 degrees around its circumference. The cruiser was equipped with a main engine and multiple thrusters and manoeuvring jets, all of which gave off soft violet glows. In addition, it was equipped with shields, an impulse cannon with impulser lasers, defensive sonic cannons, missiles, a hyperdrive with a hyper-drive core, (PROSE: The Jeopardy of Solar Proximity) tractor beam and teleport. (TV: Cold War)
Cruisers were controlled from a command deck. Equipped with a viewscreen and alarms, the command deck was the station of the ship's commander, communications warrior and Scientific Officer. Ship's weapons were operated by a designated weapons crew. (PROSE: The Jeopardy of Solar Proximity)
History
