Indira Varma (born 14 May 1973[1]) played Suzie Costello in the Torchwood television stories Everything Changes and They Keep Killing Suzie. In 2016, she reprised the role for Big Finish in Moving Target, Sync and The Torchwood Archive. She also co-starred in a live television broadcast opposite David Tennant and Mark Gatiss in the 2005 remake of the first Quatermass serial.
Of Indian and Swiss heritage, but born in England, Varma first rose to fame after her appearance in the 1996 film Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love. She has since appeared in film and TV productions on both sides of the Atlantic.
At the time of her Torchwood appearances, she was also co-starring in the American medical drama series 3 lbs. and the historical series, Rome.
She later played recurring roles in Human Target, Luther, and Game of Thrones.
