Marineville was an Earth city. Commander Shore was its Chief and Commanding officer. The city had access to Hydromic Missiles and there was a W.A.S.P. station based there.
Marineville started an air search after S.A.3. vanished in the Pacific along with its crew of seventeen thousand. Shore led a press conference on the matter, telling reporters it was the third aicraft carrier to disappear within a month. (PROSE: Stingray Attacked!) As the Stingray had lost contact with the vessel, Marineville did not hold out hope for a rescue bid. (COMIC: Genesis of Evil)
While listening to the same radio wavelength as Marineville's Tracking Station 17, ham radio operator A. Home heard ghostly noises. (COMIC: The Amaryll Challenge)
