Albert "Albie" Sinclair was the older brother of Eighth Doctor companion Helen Sinclair. He was caught and imprisoned for homosexuality while it was was still illegal in the United Kingdom. As a result, their father disowned him. He tore up all the photographs of Albie and never talked about him, although Helen never forgot.
