The Ark of the Covenant was an artefact which resided in Heaven. Iris Wildthyme spent three weeks trying to win the Ark in a game of gin rummy with the angel Gabriel. (PROSE: The Unhappy Medium) It supposedly had the power to melt people's faces. (AUDIO: The Death of Captain Jack)
