You may be looking for the concept of "operations boards".

Operations Board, alternately called Bison Login: Ops Board Access and Badwolf Login: Ops Board Access, was a small, sequential series of in-universe, narrative chat logs on operations boards between UNIT personnel on a password protected "operations board". The stories saw an entirely exclusive release on the U.N.I.T. website in 2005 written by the BBC Web Team, as part of the lead-in to the 2005 revival of Doctor Who. More were added as episodes in series one were broadcast.

Stories

Title
Operation London
Operation Mannequin
Number Ten
Object Auction
Rose Tyler
Guinevere One
Project Rooftop

Notes

While many of the operations boards were "cleared" for access, there existed several being "processed". (In actuality, these narratives were never intended for release, clearly just being there to further the illusion that the website was real.)

  • MCBDA Outbreak
  • Guatemala "big locust" Problem
  • Rowon Blathe Plan
  • Skaniska Debrief
  • The Fourth Reich
  • Clearsight Project
  • Operation Plainsong
