We're clearly covering a single segment of a BP episode. So the best title is probably Blue Peter segment (2005 TV story) or Dalek Compost perhaps? As per the external link or Untitled (BP TV story)
Talk about it here.
A Blue Peter segment which aired on the 4 April 2005 featured Christopher Eccleston in-character as the Ninth Doctor. It it notable for being the only on-screen appearance of Eccleston in the role outside of Series 1 and general promotional material. In total, it was the Ninth Doctor's third appearance on TV, following TV: The Trip of a Lifetime, Rose and The End of the World. It was also the first televised story to feature the Doctor facing a Dalek and was most likely one of the final televised performances Eccleston filmed for the role.
Synopsis
The Doctor defeats a compost bin Dalek, yelling “Take That!”, disintegrating it using an unnaturally powerful Blue Peter badge and then walking off.
Plot
Non-narrative introduction
In the intro, the Blue Peter crew report on the upcoming release of Series 1 and the return of the Daleks. A clip from Genesis of the Daleks then plays. After this, one of the hosts reports that a different sort of Dalek recently appeared in the Blue Peter garden.
Sketch
In the garden, Konnie Huq meets Reece and Jim, who have helped build a Dalek Compost bin. Konnie explains how the bin was built and which parts were used. Suddenly, the TARDIS lands just off-screen, and the Ninth Doctor walks into view, exclaiming that he's been hunting for the Dalek across time and space.
The Doctor searches his jacket but finds he does not have his sonic screwdriver and instead disintegrates the Dalek with his Blue Peter badge. He then departs, leaving the hosts and the children sad that they did not get his autograph. A man walks up with a wheelbarrow wondering where the compost bin Dalek is.

References
- In the lack of the sonic screwdriver, the Doctor uses a Blue Peter badge to destroy the Dalek bin. It creates a wave of light appear that made the Dalek bin dematerialise, with the TARDIS engine sound playing.
- The Doctor wears blue jeans.
- It is implied that the Doctor, perhaps, mistakenly believes the Dalek bin is real.
Story notes
- This marks the first ever appearance of Christopher Eccleston as the Ninth Doctor.
- In 2022, Character Options released a Ninth Doctor Collector Set featuring a new figure of the Ninth Doctor in blue jeans. The figure was officially based on an alternate cover of the first ongoing issue of the Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor comic series. However, said cover did not feature the Doctor in blue jeans, causing common speculation that the figure was actually inspired by the 2005 Blue Peter cameo.
