Funhouse was a Sixth Doctor comic published in Doctor Who Magazine. It saw Peri Brown make an appearance in the form of an illusion prior to her rejoining the TARDIS in the following story.

Summary

Inside the Funhouse, the Sixth Doctor and Frobisher find themselves victims of the building's cruel games.

Characters

References

  • The Funhouse drifts through deep space in the form of an abandoned country house. Its many illusions include a tropical beach, a man reading in a dimensionally-warped drawing room, an imprisoned Peri, and a pit of airborne demonic creatures.
  • The Doctor feels the attack upon the TARDIS in the form of a migraine.
  • In desperation, the Doctor attacks the Funhouse's tentacles with an axe.
  • The TARDIS circut boards responsible for maintaining the temporal stability of passengers in flight is deliberately sabotaged to fight against the Funhouse.
  • The Doctor rebuffs Frobisher for calling him "Doc".

Notes

The colour reprint version of the image showcasing the first six Doctors.
  • This story was published in both Doctor Who Magazine and Doctor Who Marvel Adventure Comic. In the latter, the Doctor is not shown to regress and thus his former selves do not appear.
  • While technically the first appearance of Peri Brown in the comics, the Doctor's real companion wouldn't appear until COMIC: Kane's Story. Peri greets the Doctor, after an extended absence from the TARDIS, having quit her job in New York City, 1985.
