The New Dalek Paradigm was a short story published in The Brilliant Book 2011. It was written by Mark Gatiss, serving as a companion to his TV episode Victory of the Daleks. The story served as a short history of the New Dalek Paradigm's genesis and was presented as an in-universe document compiled by the Anti-Dalek Force.
Plot
The Anti-Dalek Force review the history that led up to the birth of the so-called New Dalek Paradigm, from the creation of the Progenitor devices thousands of years prior to the event to the emergency temporal landing of a damaged Dalek flying saucer in Earth's 20th century.

Notes
- As later made even more explicit by Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe, the description of the five "castes" of the Paradigm refers to the Eternal Dalek as a singular being, rather than a variant with many individuals like the other four.
Continuity
- The Anti-Dalek Force investigate the lead-up to the New Dalek Paradigm's creation. (TV: Victory of the Daleks)
