Pinstripe


Pinstripes were a pattern of very thin stripes of any colour running in parallel often found in fashion.

The Tenth Doctor wore suits of pinstripe done on dark brown and light blue, (TV: The Christmas Invasion-The End of Time, The Day of the Doctor) or navy and crimson. (TV: Smith and Jones-Dreamland)

The War Doctor wore a bone and caramel pinstripe shirt. (PROSE: Engines of War; TV: The Name of the Doctor) right up to his death after the Fall of Gallifrey. (TV: The Day of the Doctor)

In his Sixth Doctor form, the Curator wore a double-breasted frock coat of burgundy and peach pinstripe with a cat brooch, and also trousers of chocolate and teal pinstripe. (AUDIO: The Artist at the End of Time)

Melanie Bush wore a peach and ivory pinstripe shirt when she and the Seventh Doctor foiled the First Rani. (TV: Time and the Rani)
