Quantum of Axos was the third and final story in the audio anthology Tenth Doctor Classic Companions, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Roy Gill and featured David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, John Leeson as K9 Mark II and Sophie Aldred as Ace.

  • The Doctor and K-9 briefly mention Sarah Jane Smith when trying to ascertain the identity of the duplicate K9's owner.
  • The Doctor mentions the "time forests" of Gallifrey.
  • Axos wants to achieve complete time field capability.
  • K9 explains he's the "second edition" and intends to seek out K9 Mark IV.

  • The Doctor makes a play on words concerning terms of agreements for apps, referring to "the clause of Axos" which sounds like The Claws of Axos.
  • The Doctor also comments that a dog is a girl's best friend, refering to the pilot for K9 and Company, A Girl's Best Friend.
